Sponsorship Policy
The Society for Conservation Biology Marine Section (SCB Marine) has a conscientious sponsorship policy. Donations and sponsorships, including exhibits, will only be accepted from organizations, individuals, or governments whose mission, vision, ethical positions and/or values, and practice are consistent with those of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB Global) and SCB Marine.
The mission of SCB Global is to advance the science and practice of conserving Earth’s biological diversity. The mission of SCB Marine is to advance the science and practice of conserving the Earth’s marine biological diversity.
Determinations on sponsorship and donations will be made by the IMCC Sponsorship Committee, IMCC Conference Chairs, and SCB Marine President, who will draw from reputable third-party reviewers where possible (e.g. Marine Stewardship Council, SeaChoice, Oceanwise, etc.). The final decision will rest with the conference chairs.
